Summer Writing Plans
Well, I know the site has been largely silent over the past academic year. That will be changing now that I have graduated and summer is beginning. Even though I don't have huge writing plans, I have some small plans that will hopefully keep the site updated with new reading material.
First of all, I will be publishing several of my essays on mission and church, along with some entirely new reflections on those subjects.
Secondly, I'm going to work to finish up the final couple of chapters of Elixir over the summer. I think that I'll have a couple of "Live Writing" sessions in order to finish those off, and hopefully have the whole thing edited and set for complete downloading in early September. In fact, I'm going to set September 4th as "Lower Kingdom Liberation Day"--to be celebrated two days after our own Independence Day--on which the book will be typeset and offered to you in beautiful, downloadable, printable, and ebookable formats, as well as on the web.
Finally, I am working on a book with a colleague of mine. Although I won't be able to release the writing for the book on the site, I do plan on displaying much of the research in the forums, and I will be using that research to write several small, related essays which will be published here.
So, all in all, I'm hoping for a productive, but not overly burdensome summer here at bdwhite.com. I want to encourage everyone to use the forums. Signing up for an account is as simple as just asking me for one. And after that, you can post your own work in the forum, and help me with your comments and critique.
Here's to reading and writing for the summer!

Live Writng Session Begins
The new experiment of Live Writing has begun its first session. There's a new forum all set up for the process, so you should follow the link to check it out and get involved: Live Writing Forum. As this is our first experiment, there is only one entry in the forum so far, so it shouldn't be hard to find the action.
In addition to the forum, I'll be posting regular mini-blog updates via identica: identi.ca/felixruina, so go follow me there!
